An endless source of inspiration for Busnel is the softness of Northern landscapes, the colors of nature and the particular light of the region. During the design process, Busnel has imagined a snowy getaway where you can experience crispy cold winter adventures and retreat to a chalet in front of a roaring fire.
Notably, Busnel introduces cosy rib collars on several classic pieces, creates movement with laser-cut knitted fringes on a series of garments and launches puff sleeves on a jacket and coat in wool. As always, the golden buttons, the high-quality knitted wool garments from the atelier in France and the marinière jumper are standout themes and part of the brand DNA. Additions to the color palette include chocolate, khaki green, sand and warm beige.
Busnel also dreams about Paris. At night, the beautiful architecture, bridges and boulevards are illuminated by street lights. The luminosity of the French capital after nightfall is a phenomenon that has been explored by artists throughout the 20th century. With this nocturnal atmosphere in mind, Busnel puts forward a sparkling merino fabric, sharpens several silhouettes with influences from the traditional male wardrobe, such as an oversized jacket and coat with shoulder pads, as well as knitted suits in a wonderfully comfortable and light tweed.
