BUSNEL - DEPUIS 1920
A FASHION BRAND WITH FRENCH HERITAGE
Busnel was registered by Monsieur and Madame Busnel in France 1920. They built their own factory by the French West Coast and created a lifestyle brand in the highest quality wool. During the second world war 1939-1945, Busnel supplied the French army with knitted products and the fisherman’s sweater soon become a trademark for the brand.
The knitted Victoria Jacket with golden anchor buttons became a symbol of the breakthrough for the modern woman during the 1970’s, when Anita Falkenberg brought Busnel from France to Scandinavia. She started an agency for the brand, and Scandinavia became the leading market between the decades 1970-2000 with focus on luxury fabrics and clean silhouettes for the chic woman of today.
In 2009 the brand was bought by Anita's daughter Louise Falkenberg who set out to carefully rejuvenate the brand. The following years, Busnel has continued to grow and the main focus is still slow fashion and high quality wool that will last forever. Today in 2018, the brand is a well known fashion brand in Scandinavia and has a growing position on the European market. The production of the knitted styles is still produced in the same factory by the French West Coast since 1920.
